ELECTRONIC ticketing has been introduced for the first time on British Airways' international routes from Manchester.
It is available initially on all routes between the UK and Germany and will eventually be extended to other European routes.
This includes the BA services from Manchester to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf and the Manchester to Berlin service operated by franchise partner British Regional Airlines.
Checking in for a flight with an E-ticket takes less than one minute and enables passengers with hand baggage to make a booking, go to the airport and check-in at a self-service machine using their credit card or Executive Club card for identification.
New self-service machines have been installed at airports in Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart.
E-tickets will also be available on all internal German routes with British Airways partner Deutsche BA.
