IT is no surprise to anyone who has had dealings with Horwich Resource Centre that nearly £50,000 is to be spent on expanding it. Horwich Town Council sensibly built up a nest egg to pay for repairs, and another part of the centre they had always targeted for use is also to be developed.
The reason for spending the cash is that its success has led to an increasing demand for space. It has become a pivotal place for the local community, home to several groups, and we congratulate the Council on its forward-planning to help Horwich where it matters, at its heart.
