JIM Cumbes was named today as Lancashire's Chief Executive taking over from John Bower who left Old Trafford six weeks ago.
Cumbes, formerly the club's Marketing Manager, links up with new Chairman Jack Simmons in a partnership with a deep cricketing background.
Both had long playing careers, Simmons for 22 years at Old Trafford and Cumbes with four counties including two spells with Lancashire.
Cumbes was also a soccer star and after winning a Championship Medal with Worcester in 1974 he landed a League Cup Winner Trophy as Villa's keeper in 1975.
