MANCHESTER Financial and Professional Forum organised a meeting for more than 60 of the city's leading financial and professional services professionals.
Marianne Neville-Rolfe, regional director, Government Office for the North-west, presented some of the responses to the consultation paper on regional development agencies.
She answered questions on their impact for businesses in the area.
Forum chief executive John Barnacle said: "The Government is to publish a White Paper on regional development agencies in the autumn which is expected to be quickly followed by draft legislation.
"The subject is obviously of interest to local professionals and received a warm response from our members."
Manchester Financial and Professional Forum is hosting a presentation on the Commonwealth Games on October 2 in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
