IT is a wonderful idea to create a lasting local memorial to Princess Diana through Marie Curie Cancer Care's planned Field of Hope.
The charity is to plant thousands of daffodil bulbs in an area of Moss Bank Park. The original idea was for individuals and firms to make commemorative donations, but now these sentiments will also be linked to the Princess's memory.
Now, next spring and each spring, it is hoped that a beautiful sea of yellow flowers will bloom. This will not only remain as a lasting individual tribute, but also to remind everyone of the work carried out every day by this vital charity.
