RADCLIFFE Boro manager Kevin Glendon remains supremely optimistic despite his side's start to life in the Unibond Premier Division that has seen just six points picked up from the opening nine games.
"We are all really upbeat at the club," he says. "There is no way that I am going to panic into making drastic changes. We have played nine games and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that we have only been turned over by three teams. In the rest of the games we have been having 75 per cent of the play but not putting our chances away.
"We have paid the price for letting teams off the hook. I am quietly satisfied with what I have been seeing from our players," he said.
Radcliffe entertain Great Harwood Town in the Unibond League Challenge Cup first round tonight with Colin McRory, Russell Brierley and David Bean facing fitness tests. Jason Ashley returns after missing the last two games through work commitments.
Former Everton, Manchester City and Bury star Gary Buckley has been allowed by Glendon to go on loan to Curzon Ashton in order to gain match fitness.
