INSPECTORS put a Little Hulton school through its paces during a four day visit in June - and passed it with flying colours.
St Edmund's RC Primary in Little Hulton are constantly introducing new measures to improve their standards, "ensuring that the children reach their potential, in a secure, caring and stimulating environment where high standards of moral and social behaviour are the order of the day."
The headteacher and staff get much of the credit for the school's success and were praised for their energy and dedication.
The inspection team said St Edmund's deserved its Investors in People award.
Headteacher Peter Delaney said: "As a team we have worked extremely hard over the past few years to develop ways to ensure standards rise right across the board for all age groups and our endeavours are paying dividends."
