ARNAR Gunnlaugsson has been told he must wait another fortnight before he can make his Bolton debut.
The Iceland international striker signed for Wanderers in a £100,000 transfer from Akranes last week but international clearance is only expected to come through on August 1 - two days before the final warm-up game at Port Vale.
Gunnlaugsson, 23 and capped 22 times by his country, will not be joining his Bolton teammate Gudni Bergsson in Iceland's friendly against Norway in Reykjavic on Sunday, preferring to knuckle down to some tough pre-season training with his new club.
"I'm excited at the prospect of playing in the Premiership and can't wait to start playing," he said. "But the pre-season work is important."
