SIR: My grand-daughter and I would like to thank the young man who rescued my great-grandson when he fell in the River Croal.
My great-grandson ran away and didn't see the edge of the riverbank as there is high grass. Fortunately the reeds caught him and, although he was scared, he was unhurt.
I would like to warn other mothers how easily it can happen. My great-grandson is only two years old and at that age they don't see danger.
Once again our sincere thanks to the young man who I hope didn't suffer any bad effects.
