BOGUS grant "consultants" are beginning to target the Asian business community, it is claimed.
The menace of these high-pressure salesmen has been highlighted in Bolton several times over the last few years.
In Manchester, the local Business Link says several Asian businesses have voiced their concerns about being offered the prospect of a business grant of up to £10,000 for a charge of £395 plus VAT.
Official bodies in Manchester and Bolton stress that this sort of thing is extremely misleading and warn businesses to be extremely careful.
Manchester Business Link says the issues surrounding grant scams is now a growing national concern.
