WIGAN Warrior's World Championship hopes received a major boost yesterday when X-rays gave international centre Kris Radlinski the all-clear to play on.

The 21-year-old Great Britain star suffered a painful wrist injury in Wigan's 30-28 Paris defeat at the weekend.

Initial fears were that he had broken it, but medical diagnosis revealed just heavy bruising.

Scrum half Tony Smith is also expected to be ready to face the Brisbane Broncos on Sunday as the second round of the World Club Championships get under way. He has been troubled by pelvic bruising. Both will adopt a softly does it approach to training this week, Gary Connolly and Jason Robinson also came through their exertions for a Rest of the World side In Australia unscathed.

Wigan coach Eric Hughes said: " We're settling back to normality now and, barring Martin Hall, look to be getting back to a fully fit squad.

"Obviously that's an absolute must against the calibre of opposition we are about to face."

He added: " Brisbane are leading their league In Australia and that shows we have a massive Job on our hands on Sunday."

Welsh international hooker Hall is expected to be sidelined for at least another fortnight after having his thumb pinned following a break in Wigan's clash with Canberra Raiders Down Under last month.

The Broncos are set to jet in today just 48 hours after dispatching their closest Aussie rivals Canberra by 19-4 in the Super League Down Under.
