SIR: On July 9, while driving along St Peters Way at about 4.15pm, I witnessed a totally irresponsible piece of lunacy.
A girl, perhaps seven or eight years old being driven by her mother (?), was standing upright in the open roof of the car. Whatever happened to the seat belt? What on earth was the driver thinking of? I dread to think what would have happened to her, had there been an accident as most of the drivers were doing 50-60 mph.
