A FASHION show with a difference will be staged tomorrow, showcasing some fantastic clothes made from egg boxes, bin-liners and dusters. The show, at Smithills School, Smithills Dean Road, Bolton, follows local workshops run by freelance designer Carol Scowcroft, aimed at promoting recycling and showing people how they can achieve results with limited resources.
David Shuttleworth, based at the Halliwell Action Team offices, is running the fashion show for the third year, after a successful launch two years ago.
The show - hosted by the fearsome Litterminator - will include a recyled fashion parade, Plastic Explosive - a junk percussion band - litter bug, jitterbug and the Splice Girls.
There will be prizes for the best outfit in the show and local schools and youth groups will be taking part alongside adults.
Mr Shuttleworth said: "Everyone had a great time last year and we are hoping to attract another good response from the community to this year's show."
The doors open at 7pm for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, and admission is free.
