SIR: We are searching for ex-pupils and staff who attended Prince Rupert School, Wilhelmshaven. It was a mixed boarding school for the children of servicemen stationed in Germany after world War 11 from 1947 to 1972. So far, we have found people in 27 countries and we are hoping to locate many more.
A reunion is planned in August this year to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the school. It will be held in Wilhelmshaven at the invitation of the Lord Mayor and the people of Wilhelmshaven. They have promised a weekend to remember. Our first reunion in June 1995 was attended by 750 people who travelled from all over the world and was a great success. The race is on to find as many people as possible before the next reunion, so if you know of anyone who attended the school and would like more information, either about the reunion or joining the Association please contact me at the address below.
