MARKLAND Hill 'A' and Holcombe Brook 'A' continue to dominate the Mixed Division One with the first two weeks of the reverse fixtures now complete.

In Division Two however, whilst Markland Hill 'B' have continued their winning run, Holcombe 'B' surprisingly dropped points at Claremont, going down 54 - 52.

At the other end of the table Bolton CC 'A' almost recorded their first victory losing by only two games to third placed Walmer 'A'. Unfortunately Bolton CC's men could not take enough games to take advantage of their ladies only dropping four games.

Division Three is still close with Lostock 'C', Longsight 'B', Holcombe Brook 'C' and Markland Hill 'C' almost inseparable. Games difference could be a key factor in this league, with Lostock 'C' currently having the best.

Division Four leaders Eagley 'A' have a two-point advantage at the top but seem to be winning each match by increasingly comfortable margins.

Eagley's 'B' team still head Division Five but suffered their first defeat at the hands of Meadow Hill 'B'. Meadow Hill's men, Phil Noden with C. Cartwright and Chris Taylor with C. Hughes took all the men's sets to seal a fine 66-49 game victory. Meadow Hill are now joint second with Markland Hill 'E'.

Division Six leaders Markland Hill 'F' have also lost for the first time. Again the men's sets were the key, Eagley's Sean Gallagher with M. Ince and N. McGuiness with Vince Roohan winning all four sets in a 53 - 50 victory.
