THOMSON'S Group plc has appointed Jeremy Thomason as Group Finance Director. Mr Thomason, 41, who lives in Greenmount, Bury, and was raised in Bolton, was educated at Rossall School and Hull University before training in London with chartered accountants Robson Rhodes.
His new appointment follows the recent management buyout of subsidiary company Thomson's Financial Planning Consultants Ltd, independent financial advisers regulated by the PIA. He joined Thomson's in 1990 as Financial Controller.
Mr Thomason will operate from Thomson's head office in Manchester with responsibility for the strategic planning, acquisitions, finance treasury, company secretarial and other head office functions.
