DEXTER Nonwovens of Radcliffe has received the British Safety Council's Five Star safety award at a London reception.
The Sion Street company was among 38 businesses which received their awards at the ceremony in the Stationers' Hall.
Sir Neville Purvis, Director General of the British Safety Council, said: "Good safety is good business and can save firms hundreds of thousands of pounds.
"In achieving a Five Star award Dexter Nonwovens has shown real commitment to improving health and safety in the workplace.
"It is vital to integrate health and safety into the overall management agenda, as they have done, because accidents and illnesses at work cost this country up to £16 billion every year."
