SIR: While I travel around the country, I meet many people who are achieving marvellous feats. Their talents seem to have no bounds and they are happy to give their time and energy without being paid.

I would very much like your readers to think for a minute about all the friends they know who don't let age get in their way - older people who put a lot into the community and who theywould like to see receive an award.

The Help the Aged Golden Awards recognise the valuable contribution that older people make to society. Previous Award winners have done all sorts of super things - like playing and coaching sport in their 80s, raising money for charity by parachuting or organising people to take part in local concerts.

I would like your readers to ring Help the Aged straight away to get a nomination form, in order to enter their friends into the Help the Aged Golden Awards Competition. Please call Naomi Tonks on 0171 253 2926 and she will send you full details.
