SIR: Speed limits which are already in place are seldom enforced. May I draw your attention to Moss Bank Way. After many hours work from locals and support from the BEN the limit was brought down to 30 from Forest Road to Temple Road. But on entering from Top Halliwell there's no reminder of this and very few drivers adhere to it anyway.
So why bother to spend more time and money on speeds which are generally ignored anyway?
