STAFF at Whitakers of Bolton have gained the prestigious Investors in People award.

Whitakers is one of seven stores throughout the country owned by Beales, which is now the first independent department store group in the country to achieve Investors in People status. Management and staff in all departments at each store have spent the last two years fulfilling strict criteria.
The final assessment involved three assessors meeting with of 120 managers and staff at the company's head office and in the Bournemouth, Poole, Walton and Southport stores.
