BOLTON-born breakfast show DJ Mark Radcliffe is celebrating today with his 'secret' new bride.

Radio One's Mark, 38, who took over the hot seat from Chris Evans, married Granada TV production assistant Bella Sharp, 27, in a quiet register office ceremony on Friday.

And on Saturday 30 friends and relatives gathered at the picturesque 14th century St Mary's and All Saints' Church in Great Budworth, Cheshire, for a blessing of the marriage.

Mark's daughter from his first marriage, Holly, nine, was bridesmaid and his Radio One side-kick Mark 'Lard' Riley was best man.

Mark, son of former BEN reporter Philip Radcliffe, had tried to keep his romance a secret but the news leaked and the BEN revealed last month that a wedding was imminent.

The couple are now on honeymoon and Mark will be off air for the next two weeks.

The former Bolton School pupil made his name in Radio 1's late evening "graveyard" slot presenting "indie" music laced with poetry and nonsense conversation with his beer-loving mate Lard.
