SIR: John Major's personal and abusive attack on Tony Blair in a Sunday newspaper and Michael Howard's disgraceful attack on Labour over terrorism shows yet again that you can't trust the Tories.
In desperation John Major has now descended to crude and personal abuse against the Labour leader.
He is becoming increasingly rattled because the Tories' negative campaigning is having no impact on the voters.
