EIGHT justices licences were revoked in the Bolton area during last year, the town's licensing committee was told.
The licences were withdrawn from: Trevals, Halliwell Road; Serendipitys, Great Moor Street; Silverwell Sports Centre; The Shamrock, St Helens Road; The Trotters, Bradshawgate; the Duke of Clarence, Bath Street and two off licences.
Police Chief Superintendent John Bartlett, head of Bolton Police, said there are now 728 licensed premises and115 registered clubs in the town.
