SIR: Thank you so much for the joy you have afforded me by putting me in touch through your Internet service with the family I have not seen or heard of since I left Bolton in 1936.

Within this last week I have heard from my cousin Elizabeth and, through her, my other first cousins, Annie, Madge, Jim and Frank.

The BEN is now serving not only Bolton but the world, through the World Wide Web. Could you say hello again to the dear folks you put me in touch with. It is a delight to get your newspaper electronically, and to eagerly open the "Letters" section and read news from a friend across the sea. When I sit here at my computer and read the Bolton Evening News it evokes memories of long ago. We were very poor but we never seemed to go without love from our parents, teachers and priest, Father James Lawless of St. Mary's R.C. Church. We used to walk to Queens Park led by our sports teacher, a Mr Gallagher.

To make you all a little envious now, our temperature is 60 degress and the sun is back with us.
