SIR: In reply to Mr S R Morgan of Normanby Street, I have, over the last few years, read the various letters from this person who, under the guise of the Tory Party, has consistently berated nurses, schoolteachers and the Labour Party. Now he's having a go at the long-term unemployed, saying they draw so much benefit they don't want work. My son is unemployed again after taking a temporary part time job to get off the dole. He now draws £95.80 per two weeks. Does Mr Morgan believe that he wants to stay on the dole rather than work? You say the true unemployment figure is half a million, when the Tories themselves are quoting two million, and we all know that their figures are massaged. Come back to the real world.
