BURY will have to do it the hard way if they are to get to Wembley in the Auto Windscreens Shield.

Stockport's victory at Burnley last night, set up a Northern Section quarter-final tie at Gigg Lane next Tuesday, but leaves the Shakers having to beat the two most difficult opponents left in the section to reach the Twin Towers.

For the winners of that clash have been drawn away at Crewe Alexandra for the right to meet one of Shrewsbury, Scunthorpe or Carlisle in a two-legged Northern Section final.

And Ternent dismisses suggestions that Coco-Cola Cup semi-finalists Stockport will give them an easy ride after fielding a weakened side last night.

"They didn't have all their players out but they weren't taking it easy and you can be sure they won't be taking it easy next week.

"But before than we've got Bournemouth on Saturday in the league with has always been, and will always remain, our priority.

Draw for the semi-finals of the Auto Windscreens Shield - Northern section: Shrewsbury or Scunthorpe v Carlisle or Crewe v Bury or Stockport Southern section: Colchester v Plymouth or Northampton Watford or Bristol City v Peterborough. Ties to be played week commencing 17th February.

Bury's visit to Luton will now take place on April 22.
