COLIN Todd insisted today that Wanderers' shock FA Cup exit would have no bearing on their promotion bid.
"That one result isn't going to affect what we are aiming to achieve," the Bolton boss pledged after his runaway Division One leaders crashed 3-2 to Division Two Chesterfield in one of the major shocks of the fourth round.
"We'll start again at Reading on Saturday and I'm sure the players will be as determined as ever."
Nevertheless, Todd was severely critical of his team's attitude as Wanderers were humiliated in the last FA Cup tie to be staged at Burnden.
"They've taken the accolades when they have done well so they've got to be prepared to take the criticism now," he rapped.
