SIR: I refer to the recent article by Bill Jacobs and the remarks about Bolton's "famous" black puddings. May I remind you that the town which has been, for many decades, "famous" for black puddings is, and always will be, Bury. Our puddings are still eaten every market day - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday - by visitors from many areas, including people from abroad, and are still exported.

While maybe agreeing Bolton's are enjoyable, credit must go for the original black puddings to Bury.
