CHILDREN from St Thomas Primary, St Joseph Primary, Brownlow Fold Primary and Chalfont Primary Schools used the theme of trees for a joint exhibition in Halliwell recently.

Bolton Environment House, backed by City Challenge, and local artist Rebecca Johnson joined forces to work with the children for Tree Dressing in Halliwell Week.

It was part of a national event run by Common Ground, an environmental arts charity, which aims to celebrate the cultural and environmental importance of trees.

Each of the schools looked at a different theme and pupils from each school were at Brownlow Fold Primary for the exhibition, to explain to parents and visitors how they chose their theme and how the decorations were made.
