When it's my time to wander through the clouds,

And to look back at my life that's been.

I'll be grateful for the wonders,

And the beauty that I've seen.

I'll give thanks to those, who gave me love.

And those who shared by my pain.

I'll give thanks to the friends who gave their hand,

And never looked for gain.

I'll give thanks to my children now tall and strong,

For they gave me love for oh so long.

All these things were my wealth and fortune,

Kindness, truth and love.

In life a taste of heaven,

A gift from up above. Ray Pendlebury,

Bury Road, Tonge Fold, Bolton.
