HEAD teachers, governors and parents from all over Bolton borough will meet on Friday to debate the burning issues on education.

Prospective parliamentary candidates of the three main parties will take part in a question and answer session.

Each party will be allocated one hour to put over their points to an invited audience of heads, governors, parents, education officers and teacher representatives.

The speakers will each have 20 minutes to answer four core questions on education, which have been put to them in advance. And in the remaining 40 minutes they will take random questions from the floor.

The debate has been organised by the local group, "Bolton 400", which is made up of all bodies involved in delivering education to Bolton's youngsters.
