SIR: I laughed when I read in the BEN that Angus Diggle wished to become a Conservative MP. This pathetic and apparently very silly man seemed to be chasing rainbows. I read further that Mr Alan Clarke, an ex-MP, had got onto the list of the final six contenders for this desirable occupation.
Mr Clarke has by his own admission exposed himself to teenage girls in a motor vehicle and had a sexual relationship with both girls and their mother.
The people who chose Mr Clarke as a potential MP know his past history - do they hope people have forgotten?
Maybe Mr Diggle's aspirations are not so funny.
