SIR: With regard to the Middlebrook Sports Village development and planning permission (BEN, January 22) for the removal of the surplus peat, which the initial survey failed to find.
If I had 30 mature trees around my estate and I wished to remove them, would I be advised to contact the developers 'Orbit' to tackle the task, as they do not appear to require local council planning permission?
