A TEAM of staff from the O'Leary's Irish pub, Bradshawgate, are all geared up to compete in the first ever Dublin Dash.

The aim of the event is for teams of four to make their way to the Irish capital taking an empty Jameson's Irish whiskey bottle to fill on arrival, in either the fastest time or the wackiest way possible.

The teams will be given just £15 each and so will have to beg and borrow their modes of transport. So confident are the O'Leary's team of victory that the management of parent company McDonalds Hotels are offering a free weekend at the Pack Horse Hotel as first prize.

The Marie Curie Cancer Care charity is organising the event which starts at Manchester on October 11.
