BOLTON schoolgirl Symone Longworth was still fighting for her life in the intensive care unit of a Merseyside hospital today.
The 11-year-old, of View Street, Daubhill, was playing with friends when she fell more than six feet off a wall, suffering serious head injuries.
Following the incident on Saturday, Bolton hospitals staff had to ring round to find a suitable intensive care bed. The nearest they could find was in Walton Hospital.
Today a hospital spokesman said: "Symone remains critically ill."
