TWO boys from a Bolton stage school have landed plum roles on television. Both attend Stagecoach, the performing arts school run by professional actress Denise Baglow. You may have seen Denise recently on Esther Rantzen'sZHearts of GoldZon BBC Television. Nine-year-old Richard Baglow from Adlington, Denise's eldest son, has been signed up for two episodes ofZThe Ward,ZGranada's hit TV series about a fictional children's hospital ward somewhere in the North-west.

More than 1,500 hopefuls were auditioned for the part. For the last two years Richard has been one of the region's most sought-after child models. Daniel Thomas Lloyd, aged seven, from Horwich scooped the lead in a series of six commercials for Warburtons bakery.

He too had to compete with more than 1,500 boys who were auditioned for the role of Derrick Warburton, the bakery's founder as a child.

The first two commercials were shot on location with Daniel sharing the spotlight with three large fish in one, and some 800 ducks in the other.
