LEIGH RMI boss Steve Waywell strengthened his impressive squad even further last night when he signed ex-Wales international goalkeeper Dave Felgate.
The former Bolton Wanderers star ended his League career with Wigan Athletic last season and has caught the eye in the pre-season build-up with RMI.
Waywell said: "I had a word with our central defenders before finalising the move and they were just as impressed playing in front of him, as the coaching staff were watching him.
"He is not just a shot stopper, he gets the ball away so quickly which is what we need. His experience will also prove invaluable," said Waywell, who will now list Mike Allison last season's regular keeper.
