BOLTON Business Ventures, the local enterprise agency, has received a cheque for £14,000 from Bolton Council.
Paul Davidson, BBV chief executive, said: "This is marvellous support from Bolton Metro with which to start our new financial year.
"The council have been prime sponsors of BBV since the launch of the agency in 1983, giving both support in kind as well as this latest cash donation.
"Our target is to reach £50,000 sponsorship in the current financial year and this has been the best possible start."
