SIR: I refer to the former Mellings Bakery, Bank Street Car Boot Sale. We are writing to you in support of Mr Bernard Burke and his use of the above site.
We operate the charity New Bury Fund-raisers. We are working hard to raise money for Bolton General Hospital and Bolton Hospice. Mr Burke has helped us greatly by allowing us to use a pitch at this establishment since the beginning of the year, at no cost at all. If the Planning Department succeed in their quest we will be put in great difficulty by having to look for other accommodation at the cost of £10-£12 a week.
