WISELY, amid all the mayhem of her family's troubles, the Queen chose to celebrate her 70th birthday yesterday with the minimum of fuss.
After plans for a meal at the Waterside Inn restaurant at Bray were leaked, it was decided to have a quiet party at Windsor Castle.
During her visit to Sandringham church, the Queen looked relaxed and happy and much younger than her years. Long may she reign.
