PLANNING councillors are to visit Bolton School before deciding whether an 80-place nursery should be given the go ahead.
The independent school in Chorley New Road had a similar scheme turned down last year.
But a new application has been put in for a two-storey building on land fronting Dobson Road.
The council refused the last scheme, which was on the Tudor Road side of the site, because of traffic problems.
The school then lost an appeal against the council's refusal of planning permission.
A petition containing 20 signatures and 21 letters objecting to the scheme have been sent in to the council.
Planning officers are recommending that it should be approved.
They believe there is sufficient car parking and an increase in traffic would not be detrimental to safety.
