CHANGES have been made behind the scenes at Radcliffe Boro following a recent shareholders meeting.
Keith Freer and Ian Wood (directors) have resigned from the board business and personal reasons. Keith is a former vice-chairman and Ian a former player and chairman, prior to Bernard Manning Junior taking over the chairmanship.
Manning retains the chairmanship and long-serving (33 years) director Ronnie Doyle becomes deputy chairman.
Another loyal servant of the club, Graham Fielding, takes on the role of company secretary of the three companies - The Boro, RBFC Ltd and RBFC (Holdings) Ltd - and will also continue as a director.
Kevin Glendon will also have the title of director in addition to his team manager role. David Murgatroyd becomes football club secretary and director.
Having secured a Lottery Grant of just short of £85,000 to construct two all-weather-surface areas (6-a-side) for the use of community and Boro, work is expected to start within the next six weeks.
The five directors are confident this will be a new and exciting era in the history of RBFC Ltd and will put the club firmly to the forefront in non-league soccer.
In addition to this, various business people associated with the club through sponsorship have purchased numerous shares to assist in the development of RBFC Ltd.
The following companies have purchased shares: - Tim Palmer of Comet Copiers, Barney Hampson of Hampson Pipeline Services, Peter Frain of City Glass, and Martin Darlington of Darlington Transport.
