A PENSIONER was flung to the ground and had her handbag snatched as she walked home last night.
The 60-year-old woman suffered a fractured elbow and shock after the attack at Russell Court, Farnworth, at 11.15pm.
The thief, described as a young male, fled with her handbag, containing £25 and personal items.
Police appealed for anyone with information to ring 0161 872 5050.
