LEIGH RMI manager Steve Waywell has been active in the transfer market again this week.

Coming hot on the heels of signing striker Paul Wheeler and the release of Barry Diamond, Waywell has swapped midfielder Jon Senior for Ashton United's central defender Mark Symms.

And Symms could go straight into tomorrow's home match against Lancaster because Mark Schofield and Tony Edwards are unavailable.

Jimmy Birch is still struggling with a knee injury and is rated as doubtful for the game against the Unibond Division One leaders.

Squad: Allison, Charlton, Birch, S Walmesley, C Booth, K Booth, C Walmesley, Shaw, Wheeler, Briffa, Symms, Kirkham, Fahey, Smyth. RADCLIFFE BORO manager Kevin Glendon confessed this week that he is running out of inspirational ideas when it comes to motivating his players before games! "Last week for the FA Trophy game against Matlock," he explained. "I told them it was the biggest game of the season. Then on Tuesday for the Lancashire ATS clash with Accrington Stanley, I told them that was the game! But as far as I'm concerned tomorrow's home game against Eastwood Town is the biggest match of the week because it's the league and, at the end of the day, it's promotion we want out of this season!" Glendon will be hoping three goal hero from the Matlock win Peter McRae will have recovered from his hand injury after missing the midweek match. ATHERTON LR travel to 12th in the table Farsley Celtic looking to bounce straight back from last weekend's single goal home defeat to promotion-chasers Lincoln United. Slack finishing has cost Rovers dear recently and manager Dave Morris will be looking to forward trio Gavin McDonald, Joey Dunn and Lee Cryer to put that right before promotion hopes fade completely. New signing from Leek Town, Dave Bennett, will be looking to clinch a place in the starting line up after making an impressive debut as substitute last Saturday. In the NWCL ATHERTON COLLIERIES travel to next to bottom Squires Gate knowing that only a win will be good enough to keep promotion hopes alive and kicking. The poor Blackpool side has struggled all season but tomorrow will be no time for a sympathetic approach from Steve Walton and Ian lamb's side. Hopefully the fixture will give the new Atherton strike force of Peter Oldbury and Graham Dodd the opportunity to get together with a few goals in readiness for the big games coming up in the next two months. Steve Coffey is suspended and striker Alan Shawcross will miss the seaside trip still sidelined with a knee injury. DAISY HILL entertain second in the table Castleton Gabriels with manager Jimmy Hulton convinced that his side can do neighbours Atherton Colls promotion hopes a big favour by putting one over the Rochdale side. His New Sirs outfit has been in tremendous form over the last two months and looks capable of matching anything around at the moment. The transformation has come with the linking up in midfield of Gareth Webster, Gary Cunliffe and Phil Donlan. All three are fit for tomorrow to take on a Gabriels side that will include former Atherton LR striker Tony Diamond. RAMSBOTTOM UNITED have been left with no fixture for tomorrow.
