POLICE say they have been inundated with calls from the public as the search continues to find a Whitefield man who went missing in Tenerife four months ago.
However, officers say they are still no nearer finding Karl Smith who contacted his mother in July and said he had been beaten up and robbed and was living rough in a cave.
The 28-year-old moved from Whitefield to start a new life in Los Cristianos in Tenerife in November last year.
International policing organisation, Interpol, and the National Missing Persons have also joined the search for Karl. Anyone who has seen Karl can contact police on (0161) 856 1415.
