I AM absolutely disgusted with the current state of Alfred Street in Bury.
As a regular user of the walkways on this street I am finding it increasingly difficult to find a safe passage to work.
The building work being undertaken near to Antler luggage is disrupting the pavements. On one side of the road the pavement is completely unusable as there are barriers and a large trench dug into the pavement, and directly opposite are uncovered manholes which lead to gas pipes, leaving that side unusable.
This means that pedestrians have to use the road as a walkway. I hope I am not the only one with this view but I find this to be a most unsatisfactory situation.
