I AM disgusted at the proposed closure of the maternity unit at Fairfield Hospital.
Petitions have been sent against this and marches held, but once again Government do not want to listen. Money was spent extending the hospital to make it a main hospital, so why pay out all that money if they are going to get rid of units? Leave Fairfield well alone as it is a good hospital and ideal for us all. We do not want to travel miles out, when there is a perfectly good hospital in Bury.
