ST Joseph's Players are hoping to be on their bike come pantomime time.

The Leigh Am Dram company are producing Dick Whittington as their first show of 2006, but writer-director Doreen Johnson is facing a wheel problem.

She's looking for a bike, something like a Chopper, for Mrs Whittington, played by Josie Evans, to ride on stage.

She said: "We need some sort of bicycle but we can't seem to find the right one. Josie will need to ride it off stage at one point so it needs to be low and functional - and we must be able to decorate it suitably for the show."

Anyone who can help can contact 01942 671977.

Tickets for the popular annual panto, which runs from January 18 to 28 (including two Saturday matinees) are now on sale at Boardman's, Bradshawgate, Leigh.
