THE schoolgirl who underwent a terrifying drug "trip" after drinking a can of pop at school has warned fellow pupils to be on their guard.

The 15-year-old Smithills pupil talked about her ordeal as she recovered at home yesterday.

As reported in last night's Bolton Evening News she was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after drinking a can of cola she claims had been spiked with drugs. She said: "I didn't know what was happening. I was seeing dragons and bright colours and hearing strange voices. It was horrible."

POLICE in Greater Manchester are keeping motorists guessing about their plans for dealing with drunken drivers over Christmas and New Year.

Amid stern warnings from forces throughout Britain that a massive breathalyser blitz has already begun GM police chiefs are keeping B-test details under their hats.

But they warned that there will be no "softly, softly" approach and one senior officer said "Anyone who does take the risk had better watch out."

COUNC. Hutchinson, chairman of Bolton Health Committee, has asked members to agree to the use of ambulances to transport hospital staff to and from work on Christmas Day if no buses are running.

He said that the local Hospital Management Committee had appealed to the Health Committee for assistance if the threatened bus strike on Christmas Day were carried out.
