A MAN was treated by paramedics after being overcome by smoke after a fire at his flat.
The 25-year-old was given oxygen but declined hospital treatment following the blaze on Sunday morning in Abingdon Close, Whitefield.
Firefighters were alerted by neighbours shortly before 9am and used a bucket of water to extinguish the burning two-seater settee and part of the carpet in the living room.
